MinutesNOTES FROM SUPPORTERS CLUB MEETING - THURSDAY 8TH JUNE 2006AGM TO BE RE-ARRANGED * We were supposed to hold our Annual General Meeting tonight, but due to the lack of support, it will be re-arranged for around the start of the new season. TREASURERS REPORT * For the 2005/6 season, the Football Club have been provided with donations from Supporters Club funds a total of £2,500 directly plus a further £500 as a loan. CLUB SHOP REPORT * At present we have £610.33 worth of club shop stock. We also have £25 worth in tuck shop stock. TONIGHTS GUESTS - DEREK BELL AND PAUL MACLENNAN GFC Chairman Derek Bell and GFC Director Paul MacLennan were our guests at tonights meeting. Derek said he would like more integration between the supporters and the Football Club and would like supporters to take a more active role in the running of the club. He also said that Graham Wood is becoming more actively involved with the club. Derek went on to say that there is a possibility of Season tickets and Family tickets being available for next season. GATESHEAD FC OPEN EVENING * Derek Bell announced that he is going to arrange for an open evening to be held by the Football Club in conjuction with the Supporters Club where you will be given the chance to meet Derek himself, new manager Tony Lee and any new signings etc. This open evening is intended for all supporters to attend including children, who will have the chance of meeting our mascot Rooney the goat, who should also be making an appearance. There will be an opportunity for existing Supporters Club members to renew their memberships and an opportunity for non-members to join also. This event is to be held at the International Stadium. Date and time to be arranged. A SINCERE THANK YOU FROM MICKEY THORNTON * Mickey Thornton on behalf of the Supporters Club would like to thank Peter Storey, Mickey Barrass and Laurence Dinning for all their hard work and support over the last two years. He hopes to see all of them at future Supporters Club meetings and events. SUPPORTERS CLUB MEETING NIGHT AND VENUE TO CHANGE * We have decided to change the night of Supporters Club meetings to the first Monday of each month instead of the second Thursday of each month. We are also considering changing the venue.
